Control of the Vala Drug Corporation passes to Christopher Cox, a young heir standing in the long shadow left by his late grandfather Edward Cox, whose business decisions once destroyed a family. That destroyed family's last surviving member has since become Rendel, a black-clad vigilante who works outside the law to settle scores the courts never touched. As the company changes hands, Rendel's campaign against everyone connected to the Cox name intensifies, dragging corporate executives, hired muscle, and law enforcement into a widening confrontation. The film moves at a brisk clip through warehouse standoffs and boardroom scheming alike, treating the drug company less as a backdrop than as the actual villain of the piece — a machine that keeps producing victims no matter who sits at its head.
