What is The Brothers Sun about?
Charles Sun has spent years building a reputation as the most feared enforcer in Taipei's underworld, comfortable in a life built on violence and loyalty. That comfort ends when his father is gunned down by an assassin nobody saw coming, forcing Charles onto a plane to Los Angeles to shield his mother Eileen and his younger brother Bruce from whoever comes next. Bruce, meanwhile, has spent his life auditioning for a very different future, chasing an acting career and pre-med classes with no idea his family runs anything more dangerous than a restaurant chain. The three Suns are pulled into the same orbit as rival triads circle, each with their own read on what the father's death means for control of the family's business. Across eight episodes, the show weaves tense set-piece violence with a fish-out-of-water culture clash, as a hardened killer tries to function inside suburban American life and a sheltered son discovers what his family has always been.
