Layla is chasing a promise she made to a stranger on a plane one Christmas: meet again next year, same city, same holiday spirit. That promise now hinges on getting into the hottest ticket in New York, a sold-out Pentatonix Christmas Eve concert, and everything about the night conspires against her, from scalpers to subway delays to her own second-guessing about whether the plan makes any sense at all. Along the way she leans on friends, crosses paths with people who complicate her plan in unexpected ways, and has to decide how much of the holiday season she's willing to spend chasing a feeling instead of just living in the moment in front of her.
