Eight strangers scattered across the globe wake up one day sharing each other's thoughts, feelings and skills in Sense8, a sprawling science-fiction drama from the creators of The Matrix.

What is Sense8 about?

The series opens with eight people, living in cities from Seoul to Nairobi to Chicago, suddenly finding themselves mentally and emotionally linked to seven strangers they have never met. They can see through one another's eyes, feel what the others feel, and borrow each other's languages and abilities when the need arises, even as they struggle to understand what has happened to them. As they slowly realize they form a new kind of collective being, a shadowy organization begins hunting people like them, treating the connection as a threat to be contained rather than understood. The eight must learn to trust a bond none of them asked for while staying ahead of forces that want them found, isolated and stopped, and the show follows each of their very different lives in parallel as the danger closes in.

About the cast

The ensemble spans Jamie Clayton, Tina Desai, Miguel Ángel Silvestre, Max Riemelt, Bae Doo-na, Brian J. Smith, Tuppence Middleton and Toby Onwumere, each carrying one of the eight linked storylines across a genuinely global cast.

Context & significance

Sense8 was created by J. Michael Straczynski alongside Lana Wachowski and Lilly Wachowski, the sibling directors behind The Matrix, and it carries a similar interest in identity and connection stretched across a much larger canvas. The production filmed on location in multiple countries rather than standing in one city for the others, which was unusual for a series of its scale at the time.

Watching Sense8 on Ktime

Sense8 streams on K-Time with Persian dubbing and Persian subtitles, so it can be followed either fully in Farsi or in its original mix of languages with Farsi subtitles guiding the way. A free K-Time account is enough to start the series, and the platform's Farsi interface is built with Persian-speaking viewers around the world in mind.
