Working out of a converted shed, a quantum physicist builds a strange device capable of punching a tunnel into a subatomic universe. What starts as an attempt to prove the machine actually works turns into something stranger: the tunnel appears to reverse illness in lab rats, hinting at a treatment for cancer. Encouraged and unsettled in equal measure, the scientist starts looking for people willing to step inside and test the effect on themselves.
