Director: George Miller
George Miller returns to the wasteland with Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, a 2024 prequel that traces how one stolen child became the fiercest warrior of the Wasteland.
What is Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga about?
Years before she crosses paths with Max Rockatansky, young Furiosa is torn from the hidden, fertile refuge known as the Green Place and dragged into the orbit of the biker warlord Dementus. As his roving horde crosses the desert, she is eventually delivered into the walled Citadel ruled by the tyrant Immortan Joe, and the film follows her growth from captive child to hardened operator inside a brutal power struggle between the two despots. Along the way she learns to survive by watching, waiting, and mastering the machinery of war that dominates this scorched world, all while holding onto a single fixed goal: finding her way back home. The saga builds across years and multiple set-piece chases toward the woman audiences first met in Fury Road.
Cast & crew
Anya Taylor-Joy plays the adult Furiosa, with Alyla Browne as her younger self, opposite Chris Hemsworth as the volatile warlord Dementus. Tom Burke, Lachy Hulme, and Charlee Fraser fill out a Citadel populated by desert raiders and armored war-rigs.
Context & significance
Director George Miller, who created the Mad Max series in 1979, built this installment as a direct origin story for the character introduced in 2015's Fury Road, expanding the mythology of the Green Place and the warring factions that shape the wasteland's politics. Production leaned on practical vehicle stunts alongside digital environments to keep the chase sequences grounded in the same tactile, hand-built style that defined the earlier films in the series.
Where & how to watch
Furiosa is available on K-Time with Persian dubbing and Persian subtitles, letting Farsi-speaking audiences follow every chase and confrontation in their own language. The page and its details are free to browse; watching the film itself just requires logging into a free K-Time account, on a platform built around Farsi navigation for the Iranian diaspora.
