A long-haul driver intervenes when he sees a waitress being harassed by her ex, pulling her away from danger before getting back on the road. The rescue barely registers before the weather turns: a sudden whiteout sends his truck sliding off the highway and down into a snow-choked ravine. He wakes injured, half-buried, and alone, with no signal and no easy way to climb back up. Worse, something is already circling. Tracks in the snow and a low growl in the wind tell him a large animal has picked up his scent and is testing the wreckage for a way in. What follows is a stripped-down fight for survival: rationing warmth, improvising tools from the truck's wreckage, and trying to outlast both the cold and the creature stalking the ravine's edge before either one finishes the job.

Allen Leech, familiar to many from period drama, trades manners for grit here, carrying most of the film's screen time alone in the ravine.
