What is Woodwalkers about?
Carag has spent his whole life in the forest, raised without knowing that shapeshifters like him belong to a hidden society of Woodwalkers, people who can transform into animals and move between the human world and the wild. When he's brought to Clearwater High, a boarding school built specifically for young shapeshifters, he has to learn the basics of a world he never knew existed while blending in with classmates who've grown up inside it. Two students become his closest allies: Holly, who shifts into a squirrel, and Brandon, whose animal form is a bison. Together the three uncover a string of unexplained disturbances tied to the school and the surrounding wilderness, pulling Carag deeper into Woodwalker politics and old rivalries just as he's trying to figure out who he is. Director Damián John Harper builds the film around Carag's dual instincts — human curiosity and animal wariness — using the split identity as both the emotional core and the source of the mystery.
