What is Remnant about?
After a tragedy upends her life, Grace goes back to the family farm hoping distance from the city will help her put the pieces back together. Instead, the farmhouse seems to have its own memory of what happened. Doors creak open on their own, a pale figure appears at the edge of the fields at night, and sounds echo from empty rooms that shouldn't be occupied. Grace tries to keep functioning through the disturbances, but each incident chips away at her certainty about what's real. Is grief distorting her perception, or is the property itself holding onto something it refuses to let go of? Remnant keeps its answer just out of reach for most of its runtime, building dread through empty hallways and half-glimpsed shapes rather than jump scares alone.
Cast & crew
Nicole Pritchard anchors the film as Grace, carrying much of the runtime alone in scenes designed to isolate her character, with Shaun Robert Foley and Tsu Shan Chambers rounding out the small ensemble surrounding her.
