What is Monkey Man about?
Known only as Kid, a young man scrapes by fighting in an underground club where he pulls on a gorilla mask each night and lets more popular fighters beat him bloody for money. Years of buried rage sit behind his eyes, and when he finds a way into the guarded world of the city's elite, that rage starts to surface. Scars on his hands hint at a past he has never spoken about, and as old memories resurface, Kid builds a plan to reach the men who took his family and his childhood from him, one violent step at a time.
Cast & crew
Dev Patel stars as Kid and also directs the film, marking his feature directorial debut, alongside Sobhita Dhulipala, Sikandar Kher, Pitobash, Makrand Deshpande, Adithi Kalkunte, Jatin Malik and Vipin Sharma.
