What is Love in the Big City about?
Jae-hee and Heung-soo meet as university roommates in Seoul, an unlikely pair -- she's headstrong and impulsive, he's gay and guarded -- who end up becoming each other's closest confidants over the years that follow. The show tracks their overlapping romances, breakups, and reconciliations as both characters chase connection in a city that doesn't slow down for anyone. Rather than centering on one central romance, the series moves between different chapters of their lives, letting side characters and past relationships resurface as the two leads keep circling back to the one friendship that has actually lasted. It balances comedy and heartbreak in roughly equal measure, treating both with the same light touch.
Cast & crew
Kim Go-eun plays Jae-hee, opposite Steve Sanghyun Noh as Heung-soo, the friendship at the center of the show. Jung Whee, Oh Dong-min, Jang Hye-jin, Lee Sang-yi, Kwak Dong-yeon, and Joo Jong-hyuk fill out the wider circle of friends, partners, and family who move in and out of their lives.
