Easiest way (about 3 minutes): Samsung TVs use the free SS IPTV app, which takes a playlist link instead of a login box. Install SS IPTV, then in Settings → Add Playlist add this address with your own K-Time username and password filled in:
https://ktime.app/iptv/get.php?username=YOUR_USERNAME&password=YOUR_PASSWORD&type=m3u_plus— save it and the whole library loads. (Rather not type a long link on the remote? ktime.app/app/tv shows the same link ready to copy.)
You can watch K-Time on a Samsung smart TV, and it is included in your subscription at no extra cost. The path is the free SS IPTV app plus a Playlist link. Here is the honest setup, with the one caveat that is specific to Samsung.
| Device | Samsung smart TV (Tizen) |
| Free app | SS IPTV |
| How you connect | A playlist (M3U) link built from your own login |
| Playlist URL | ktime.app/iptv/get.php?username=…&password=…&type=m3u_plus |
| Cost | Included in your K-Time subscription |
| Optional upgrade | IBO Player (paid, one-time fee) for a full login experience |
| What you get | Live Persian channels, movies and series |
How do I watch Persian TV on a Samsung smart TV?
To watch Persian TV on a Samsung smart TV, install the free SS IPTV app and give it a playlist link built from your own K-Time login. Samsung TVs run Tizen, and the honest fact is that Tizen has no free app with an Xtream login box the way Android TV or Fire TV do — SS IPTV takes a playlist (M3U) link instead. The steps:
- On the Samsung TV, open the Samsung app store and install SS IPTV (free).
- Build your playlist link by putting your own K-Time username and password into this address:
https://ktime.app/iptv/get.php?username=YOUR_USERNAME&password=YOUR_PASSWORD&type=m3u_plus - On the TV, open SS IPTV → Settings → Add Playlist and add it by URL. Typing a long link on a remote is fiddly, so SS IPTV also lets you enter it from a computer at its ss-iptv.com portal using the code shown on the TV — and ktime.app/app/tv shows the same link ready to copy.
- Save, and SS IPTV loads your K-Time channels, movies and series.
SS IPTV now loads your K-Time channels, movies and series. You do this once; after that, the app remembers the playlist and opens straight to your library.
Why is there no free login app on Samsung?
There is no free Xtream-login app on Samsung because its Tizen app store does not carry one — this is a limitation of the platform, not of K-Time. On Android TV and Fire TV, free apps like TiviMate and IPTV Smarters accept a username and password directly. On Samsung’s Tizen, the free route is SS IPTV with a Playlist link, which reaches the same K-Time library by a slightly different door. We would rather tell you that plainly than pretend a free login app exists.
What if I want a full menu with a login on my Samsung TV?
If you want a full menu-and-login experience on a Samsung TV, the paid IBO Player is the option, for a small one-time fee. IBO Player accepts an Xtream login and gives a more polished interface than SS IPTV — but it is optional, and SS IPTV is free and works. Most people start with free SS IPTV and only consider IBO Player if they want the nicer layout.
Is there an easier way than the playlist?
The easiest way to get a full login experience on a Samsung TV is to add a cheap Fire TV Stick to the TV’s HDMI port. That turns the Samsung TV into a Fire TV, where you can install the free IPTV Smarters app and sign in with your K-Time username and password — no playlist link required. Our Fire TV setup guide covers it, and the master setup guide compares every device side by side. If you would rather not set up anything at all, the pre-configured K-Time دستگاه sold at Iranian shops in the Greater Toronto Area comes ready to use — see setting up Persian TV for parents.
Do I need a VPN or an Iranian card?
No — K-Time on a Samsung TV needs no VPN and no Iranian bank card. There is no geo-block, so nothing to toggle, and the subscription takes any foreign card. This is the structural difference from Filimo and Namava, which license for inside Iran and require an Iranian IP and a Shetab card. Our guide to watching Persian TV outside Iran explains why a diaspora-built service is the only one that works abroad without workarounds.
