Gray Parish drives a cab now, a quiet trade for a man who once ran with dangerous crowds. That fragile peace collapses after his son is killed and his livery business starts to buckle under debt. When a job puts him behind the wheel for a Zimbabwean crime figure who profits from smuggling people across the southern border, Gray sees a way to claw back everything he's lost, money, leverage, and maybe a shot at answers about his son's death. Each fare pulls him deeper into a network of traffickers, rival operators, and old associates who remember exactly who he used to be. Loyalties in his own crew begin to fray as the work grows riskier, and Gray has to decide how much of himself he's willing to trade for a payout that could fix everything, or destroy what little he has left.
