What is Blind Date Book Club about?
Running a bookstore built on the idea of pairing readers with the right novel, the owner has spent years matching strangers to stories while keeping her own life carefully unexamined. That changes when a well-known author stops by and, on something of a whim, asks her to read and critique his unpublished manuscript inside her own signature club, the one where members go on a blind date with a book instead of a person. Chapters exchanged over coffee turn into arguments about endings, then into something neither of them planned for. Set against the salt-air backdrop of a New England island town, the film follows two people who make their living around stories slowly realizing they might be writing one of their own.
