Being the only boy among ten sisters has never given Lincoln Loud much room to stand out. When the whole family sets off for Scotland, he sees a rare chance to become somebody special, and the destination turns out to have secrets of its own. The Louds learn that their ancestry ties them to Scottish royalty, and the discovery comes with a castle, a village full of curious locals, and expectations that none of the children are quite prepared for. Lincoln in particular has to decide what he wants from a title that suddenly seems within reach. Musical numbers punctuate the journey, and the sheer number of siblings guarantees that any plan, however sensible, quickly spirals into chaos.
