A wedding night ends, a new day begins, and the man at the centre of it all has vanished without a word — no one has seen him since the night before. Left behind in the half-dismantled celebration are the women who knew him best and, it turns out, least: his new bride, his mother, his sister, and a lover nobody invited but who came anyway. As they search for him, each woman carries her own theory of why he might leave and her own stake in the answer, and the search keeps circling back to secrets the wedding was supposed to bury. Across 100 minutes the film peels the mystery apart layer by layer, less interested in where the groom went than in what his absence forces everyone else to admit.
About the cast
Amirali Danaei, Bahareh Kian Afshar and Tina Pakravan head the cast. Kian Afshar, one of the recognisable faces of contemporary Iranian drama, and Pakravan, herself a filmmaker as well as an actress, give the ensemble its charge — a story where the missing man is defined almost entirely through the women reckoning with him.
