What is Transformers: Rise of the Beasts about?
Set decades before the modern-day Transformers films, Rise of the Beasts drops the Autobots into a New York already dealing with its own problems, then hands them a bigger one: a planet-devouring threat that no single faction can stop alone. The answer comes from the Maximals, animal-shaped Transformers who have been hiding on Earth and operating by their own rules. Getting Autobots and Maximals to trust each other is its own fight before the larger one even starts. Caught in the middle are Noah, an ex-military electronics repairman trying to hold his family together, and Elena, a museum researcher who stumbles into an artifact she was never meant to find. Their ordinary lives get pulled into a war between factions of giant transforming robots that spans continents and eras of Transformers lore.
About the cast
Anthony Ramos and Dominique Fishback lead the human cast as Noah and Elena. Peter Cullen returns as the voice of Optimus Prime, a role he has held across the franchise, alongside Ron Perlman, Peter Dinklage, Michelle Yeoh, Pete Davidson, and Liza Koshy voicing members of the Autobot and Maximal factions. Steven Caple Jr. directs.
