What is Trading Up Christmas about?
Michelle spends most of the year turning half-formed ideas into plans nobody asked for, but this December her sister Keri is about to lose her home and needs more than good intentions. Michelle decides the season calls for action, not sympathy, and starts trading small favors, odd jobs, and swapped belongings in the hope that one exchange leads to the next and eventually lands her sister somewhere safe. The scheme pulls in neighbors, an old friend she hasn't spoken to in years, and a stranger whose help arrives at exactly the moment it seems least likely. Along the way, Michelle's own life — including a romance she keeps putting off — gets rearranged by the very plan she built for someone else.
