Ally has built a career chasing deadlines and ratings, but a work trip back to her hometown pulls her toward Sean, the boyfriend she left behind years earlier when she chose ambition over roots. One night of nostalgia turns complicated fast: Sean is now engaged to Cassidy, a woman whose free-spirited approach to life looks uncomfortably like the person Ally used to be before she reshaped herself for a career.
