What is Memories of Murder about?
In 1986, in South Korea's Gyeonggi Province, the body of a young woman is found, killed in circumstances no one in the area has seen before. Two months later, a second attack follows the same pattern, and then another, until a special task force is formed to work the case. Local detectives Park Doo-Man and Jo Young-Goo are joined by a detective who has specifically requested a transfer from Seoul, and the three approach the same series of crimes from very different angles, as the investigation drags on without the clean answers any of them are looking for.
About the cast
Song Kang-ho and Kim Sang-kyung lead the investigation on screen, with Kim Roe-ha, Song Jae-ho, Park Hae-il, Go Seo-hee, Ryu Tae-ho and Park No-shik completing the cast. Together they carry a story that plays out across small police stations and the surrounding towns of Gyeonggi Province in the mid-1980s.
