Joseph grew up around his father's dance company but has no interest in following that path; his passion is street and hip-hop dance, and he wants to test himself against Paris's best rather than inherit a business he never chose. He leaves for the capital with his girlfriend Emma and his closest friend Karim, and the trio talks its way into the crew run by Yuri, a well-known breaker with a reputation for pushing dancers hard. Training under Yuri means learning a different discipline than the one Joseph grew up with, and the film follows the group as they prepare for a competition that could validate the choice Joseph made when he walked away from his father's world.
