What is Let Go about?
Stella's days run on a constant loop of small emergencies: a young son who needs her every minute, a teenage daughter pulling away, and a marriage that has quietly gone cold. The household stays afloat through routine rather than connection, until an unexpected message arrives and forces the family out of their separate corners. What follows is a road trip none of them planned for, one that strips away the usual excuses and puts Stella face to face with problems she has been too busy to name. Old resentments surface alongside small moments of unexpected tenderness, and Stella has to decide how much effort it will take, and how much she is willing to give, to pull her family back toward each other rather than further apart.
Cast & crew
Josephine Bornebusch both directs and stars as Stella, giving the character a lived-in exhaustion that anchors the film's more chaotic scenes. Pål Sverre Hagen plays her husband, while Sigrid Johnson and Olle Tikkakoski Lundström take on the children pulling Stella in opposite directions. Leon Mentori, Tone Danielsen, Irma Jämhammar and Niklas Falk fill out the surrounding cast.
