Roman Compte fled Cuba years earlier and built a new life as general manager of the Hotel Mutiny, a Miami property that becomes the unofficial headquarters of the city's booming cocaine trade during the late 1970s and early 1980s. Working quietly for American intelligence while also managing the hotel's glittering, dangerous guest list, Compte moves between smugglers, socialites, and federal agents, all of whom treat the hotel as neutral ground even as the money and violence around it keep escalating. The series follows how one man's survival instincts pull him deeper into a world he can no longer control.
