After a confrontation in New York pulls her back into a world of organized crime, Maya Lopez leaves the city and heads home to Oklahoma, where the family and community she left behind are waiting with unresolved history of their own. Alaqua Cox plays Lopez, a deaf Choctaw woman forced to reckon with both the enemies chasing her and the relatives she has to face again, including her grandmother, played by Tantoo Cardinal, and figures from her past played by Chaske Spencer, Devery Jacobs, and Cody Lightning.
