In the ruined land of Agonos, where the last war against the dragons was lost and every dragon supposedly slain, Dragon Knight follows a lone warrior who refuses to accept that the fight is over.

Years after defeat, the kingdoms of men live under the shadow of the demon lord Abaddon, their armies broken and their hope for a real defense running thin. A wandering knight sets out to build resistance where none seems possible, until a healer's vision suggests the impossible: one dragon may still be alive somewhere in the wilderness. Joined by an eager young squire, the knight abandons the safer path of slow rebuilding for a search that could either save the human kingdoms or waste their last chance at one. As Abaddon's forces move against what remains of the resistance, the journey becomes a race against time as much as a hunt for a myth. Whether the dragon is real, and whether it would fight for humans again even if found, stays an open question the knight has to chase anyway.
