A biotech conference goes catastrophically wrong in Colony, an outbreak thriller directed by Yeon Sang-ho, trapping a professor and a handful of strangers inside a sealed facility with a virus that does not behave the way viruses are supposed to.

Professor Se-jeong is at the conference when a fast-mutating virus escapes containment, and authorities respond by sealing the entire facility rather than risk the exposure spreading further. Inside, with no way out and no clear timeline for rescue, Se-jeong falls in with a small group of other survivors. As the infected undergo violent physical transformations, the group's priority narrows to one question: how to stay alive long enough for the doors to open again, in a building that offers nowhere left to run.

The ensemble is led by Gianna Jun and Koo Kyo-hwan, with Ji Chang-wook, Kim Shin-rock, Shin Hyun-been, Go Soo, Lee Jung-ok and Kim Jong-tae rounding out the group of survivors.
