What is Bodies about?
In 1890, 1941, 2023 and a near-future 2053, four detectives each find the same unidentified man's body in Longharvest Lane, and each is forced to work the case using only the tools and politics of their own era. As the four timelines are cut together, small details from one period start explaining puzzles in another, and it becomes clear that the body's presence across all four eras is not a coincidence but the result of a single plan unfolding across generations. What starts as a locked-room puzzle expands into a story about how power, surveillance and control replicate themselves across a century, with each detective's personal stakes rising the closer they get to a truth that reaches far beyond their own time.

The four leads each carry a separate era: Jacob Fortune-Lloyd plays the Victorian-era detective, Amaka Okafor investigates during wartime 1941, Shira Haas plays the present-day detective piecing together the modern half of the case, and Stephen Graham appears as a commanding figure whose reach extends across more than one timeline. Kyle Soller and Greta Scacchi fill out supporting roles that connect the four periods.
