What is Batman: The Doom That Came to Gotham about?
After two decades abroad, Bruce Wayne comes home to Gotham only to find the city gripped by something far stranger than street crime. His return coincides with the awakening of an ancient force, one that has already begun twisting the minds and bodies of those closest to him. As Batman works the case, familiar faces resurface in unfamiliar forms: Ra's al Ghul pursues a ritual centuries in the making, Mr. Freeze and Killer Croc are transformed by the same encroaching evil, and Harvey Dent's fracture into Two-Face takes on a cosmic weight it has never carried before. James Gordon and Green Arrow lend what help they can, but the true adversary resists ordinary detective work. Structured as a period mystery with creeping dread rather than punch-driven action, the film leans into fog-choked docks, candlelit asylums, and the sense that Gotham's rot runs deeper than any single criminal.
